Each course has a specific date and venue for the face-to-face practical workshop – when registering, please choose carefully to ensure you can attend the practical workshop.
The online course takes around six hours to complete. You should complete and pass the online assessment BEFORE attending the three hour face-to-face practical workshop.

Registration requirements:
You must be:
- A non-regulated healthcare worker (e.g., kaiāwhina, healthcare assistant, pharmacy technician) currently employed in a healthcare setting.
- Employed by an organisation that understands the role of the VHW and the support and supervision required.
- Able to complete the theory component and online assessment before attending the practical workshop.
- Committed to attending the practical workshop at the venue and on the date booked.

Assessment
At the end of the online course, complete the multiple-choice assessment. There are 30 questions, and you must get 24 correct to pass.
