Overview

This course will help you manage your vaccine stocks and related inventory. It will demonstrate how you go about ordering stock, transferring stock between sites, recording consumption, wastage and quarantined stock.

This course will take about 30 mins to complete.

Please note:

  • Vaccines shown in the course may not be current.
  • The Aotearoa Immunisation Register (AIR) has replaced the National Immunisation Register (NIR) and COVID-19 Immunisation Register (CIR)

Prerequisites

You have been approved to perform the role of managing a vaccination site or primary care clinic’s vaccine stock by your clinic or District.

Course content

How to complete the following in the Inventory Portal:

  • Order and transfer inventory
  • Manage current stocks including consumption, wastage and quarantine

Assessment

Each module includes multi choice questions to check learning

Completion

In the last section of the course ('What's next and an opportunity to practice'), at the very end is a button to indicate you have finished. Please click this button to make your certificate available.

The course provides 1 hour of continuing professional development. On completion, you can print out a certificate as evidence of learning.

Next Steps

Once completed, advise your District or Provider Organisation logistics lead to request access to the inventory portal. They will require a copy of your certificate to do this.
