We do not have access to immunisation records.

The National Immunisation Register (NIR) was rolled out across New Zealand from mid-2005, prior to this there was no central immunisation register.

  • Children born mid-2005 or later will have immunisation records on the NIR.
  • Those living overseas should contact the region they last lived in and ask for the National Immunisation Register department. Visit Te Whatu Ora's local health websites page to find contact details.
  • Children, adolescents and adults born before mid-2005 will not have immunisation records on the NIR. Their records will only be in their Well Child Book or held by their previous or current doctor.
