The Immunisation Advisory Centre (IMAC) is a nationwide organisation based at the School of Population Health at The University of Auckland.
We provide New Zealanders with a local source of independent, factual information based on international and New Zealand scientific research regarding vaccine-preventable diseases and the benefits and risks of immunisation, information and training for health professionals, national immunisation coordination and policy advice and research into many aspects of vaccines and vaccine-preventable diseases.

The 8th New Zealand National Immunisation Conference 2013: coming up soon!
Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre, Tuesday 10th to Thursday 12th of September
Researchers, health care professionals, scientists, policy makers and others interested in the science and service delivery of vaccines and immunisation programmes are invited to participate in the 8th New Zealand National Immunisation Conference. The conference will provide you with an excellent opportunity to share and discuss your research and experiences with a dedicated and influential group of like-minded peers from across New Zealand, Australia and abroad.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Dr Marc LaForce- founding director of the Meningitis Vaccine Project, Dr Marc LaForce led the successful development, licensure, and introduction of MenAfriVac™, the first vaccine designed specifically for Africa. Marc directed the project from 2001 until his retirement in 2012, and was recognised for this work with the 2012 Albert B. Sabin Gold Medal Award.
