Overview

The Immunisation Advisory Centre (IMAC) invites you to our annual New Zealand Influenza and COVID-19 Symposium on 14 March 2024 in Auckland. 

The Symposium is an excellent opportunity to get the latest information on new vaccines, changes to the Influenza and COVID-19 programme, as well as updates on Long COVID and complex vaccination issues.  

It’s also a great opportunity to catch up with your colleagues working in immunisation. We'd love to see you there, either in-person or online.

Where: Naumi Hotel Auckland Airport   

 

The Naumi Hotel Auckland Airport is less than 10 minutes’ drive from the airport and is also on the Yellow Bus airport hotels route.  

Symposium content  

Our key note speaker is Associate Professor Hazel Clothier from the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (mcri.edu.au). 

Hazel is Lead Epidemiologist, Child Health Informatics and Surveillance Manager, Vaccine Signal Detection & Investigation, at SAEFVIC, Victoria’s Vaccine Safety Service. She will present from Melbourne, via Zoom, on vaccine safety ,in particular relating to COVID-19 vaccines.  

Other speakers will cover a range of topics including:

·       The 2023 and 2024 Influenza Immunisation Programmes 

·       The COVID-19 Vaccine Immunisation Programme 

·       Influenza and COVID-19 surveillance  

·       Case studies of several complex vaccination issues
