Well Child Symposium 2017

An invitation to the first Well Child Tamariki Ora Symposium

November 10th 2017 at the Rydges Hotel in Wellington.

This all-day event is for those who work in the area of  Well Child Tamariki Ora (WCTO), and is also relevant to others in the health sector working with children under the age of 5 years and their families.

The day is designed to provide opportunities to consider current activities and inspire reflection on the role of WCTO services as they support families and communities to improve outcomes for NZ children.

The symposium will provide a platform to network with peers who share a common interest in the health needs of young children:

  • The morning will focus on the big picture, and activities across the sector to improve equity and outcomes for vulnerable children

  • The afternoon will focus on components of everyday WCTO practice and include snapshots of the successes and challenges of innovation in WCTO services

  • The day will conclude with a session on self care for those working with children and their families in the community

The draft programme can be viewed here.

Registrations have now closed as we have reached full capacity for the venue.

Please send an email to go onto a waiting list if we have any cancellations
